Wallingford Tree Service, Inc. is a family-owned and operated tree care company based in Connecticut, founded by John Cervero in April 1991. With a deep-rooted passion for arboriculture that began in his childhood, John's journey started under the mentorship of a family friend who was an experienced arborist. His experience continued to grow as he worked at an apple orchard, wherein he engaged in various tree care practices like pruning, spraying, and planting. Realizing his potential, John launched Wallingford Tree Service with just a pickup truck and a single crew member.
Over the years, the company has expanded significantly, investing in quality equipment and hiring skilled staff. By 1995, John had earned his arborist's license, followed by acquiring a commercial warehouse to support the growing business. He further enhanced his knowledge by studying tree diagnosis and disease control at the CT Agricultural Station in New Haven and attained the Certified Tree Safety Specialist (CTSP) certification in 2008. John is actively involved in the industry as a board member of the Connecticut Tree Protective Association and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA).
Today, Wallingford Tree Service employs a dedicated team of tree care experts, including three licensed arborists and two CTSPs. They pride themselves on the health of the trees and the safety of their clients and employees. The company has achieved accreditation as a Tree Care Company through the TCIA, underscoring its commitment to quality service.
The company has garnered positive feedback from clients, showcasing their effectiveness in managing post-storm tree hazards and maintaining property aesthetics. With a strong emphasis on safety and expertise, Wallingford Tree Service stands as a trusted name in tree care in Connecticut.
