Founded in 1976, Superior Paving Corporation emerged from an inspiring vision shared by Bob Surface and Bart Mitchell in Northern Virginia. Initially lacking infrastructure and resources, the trio, with the addition of Ron White, successfully secured a contract with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) by leveraging their relationships and passion for the paving industry. Over the decades, they have paved many of the region's major roads, including I-66, I-495, and I-95, establishing themselves as a trusted name in asphalt paving. Today, the company boasts ten strategically located asphalt plants that service both public and private projects, and has become the supplier of choice for numerous smaller paving companies in the region.
