High Plains Tree Works (HPTW) is a veteran-owned tree care service that originated in 1995 as Agriclear, a company focused on commercial and roadside clearing. Over the years, HPTW evolved into a specialized provider of tree removal and care services throughout the central and panhandle regions of Texas. Recognizing the importance of preserving urban forestry and maintaining communities' green spaces, HPTW implemented a unique 'whole-life' continuum approach to tree care in 2002. This framework comprises a comprehensive five-step process: Planning, Preparation, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery, designed to address the needs of individual trees, particularly aging Heritage live oaks that can be up to 200 years old.
As HPTW's customer base expanded, so did its commitment to serving economically disadvantaged clients who needed tree services but couldn't afford them. The company's ethos emphasizes community support, and it has often accepted gestures of goodwill, such as a handshake, as payment from those in need. This practice underlines HPTW's belief in the principle that "it is better to give than to receive."
In addition to outreach programs, HPTW is dedicated to offering a wide range of professional tree services, including complete tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, and specialized hazard tree removal. Its expert team is committed to quality service and stewardship of the landscape in Amarillo and surrounding areas. By combining technical proficiency with a community-focused mission, HPTW not only aims to enhance the beauty and safety of local properties but also actively contributes to the well-being of its community, ensuring that essential tree care is accessible to all.
