Initially established as D&J Service Company by Jeffrey V. By the 1980s, it became known for central cleaning systems, intercom systems, and burglar and fire alarm systems.
After a successful run, Jeffrey sold D&J Service Company in 1995 but was disheartened by the drop in customer service quality under new ownership. In 1996, he launched Built In Systems to better cater to his loyal customer base and to uphold the high service standards he valued. Following his passing in 2004, his legacy was honored by his son, who integrated new technologies and expanded the company’s offerings to include security and life safety systems, structured wiring, audio distribution, surveillance, and home theater systems.
